Now, you can already meet these guys in the Chamber of Felines, but it would hardly be me if I didn’t give them more of an introduction than just that! So, to begin with, meet the current crew, pictured both above and below:
The one above is Mochi, the big sister cat to Teddy, who is the goofball kicking around below. They’re both really sweet, and gorgeous guys. They’re genuinely brother and sister, sharing the same parents, but split by a span of a little under a year.
By this point, the boy below has grown up a little bit–he’s almost five pounds heavier than his sister, though they are both almost exactly average weight for adult Ragdolls. Which means, they’re big. Big, hefty cats, with actual social skills. Teddy, who is more often referred to as Mysterioso around these parts, is the snugglemeister, and acts superbly in his role as the Feline Ambassador. He’s keen to meet everyone, visit with the workmen fixing things in the house, and will say hi to absolutely anyone he’s never seen before. He likes guests most of all, because more people means more attention, more snuggles, and a better time for him, all things concerned.
Mochita, on the other hand, likes to encounter other people in small groups. One or two more people in the house, and she’s delighted. The right one or two, her favourite people who like to play with her just the way she likes, and she’s in absolute heaven. But big crowds aren’t her jam, and when the house gets noisy, she’s likely to pop off to a quiet corner and snooze until she’s ready to come out asking for something to nibble on, or seeking a little play-time at the edge of the party.
But chances are, they’ll both love you. And you’ll love them. And even if you aren’t a cat person, you may go away wondering if maybe you should give cats a try after all. You wouldn’t be the first.
